In just nine years Glasgow Airport based aviation group, Cloud Global Group, has become a leader in its field with an international client base that includes over 20 different airlines across four continents.

Founded in 2010, the business now offers a range of specialist services including flight training, aircraft maintenance, aviation industry recruitment services, asset leasing and component support.

Cloud Global utilises one of the best industry-specific engineering skill bases in the world to provide a broad range of component repair and overhaul services for the Cloud Global Ltd repair supply chain. This is focused on delivering world class reliability, first class turn times, minimised AOG costs and superior warranties.

Cloud Global Engine services significant aircraft engine portfolio offers integrated management solutions providing engineering services, aircraft engines for lease, and quality overhauled condition engine material can assist operators to minimise engine maintenance costs.

The Team

Graeme Frater: Managing Director

Co-founder of Cloud Global and with over 22 years’ experience within the aviation industry Graeme has developed excellent working relationships with key companies over the years. His previous roles included working with Menzies Aviation as easyJet Service Delivery Manager at Edinburgh Airport and British Airways Station Account Manager at Glasgow Airport. With Graeme’s focus the business has seen a sharp increase in turnover. The vision is to grow Cloud Global Group into a worldwide organisation to offer bespoke customer service solutions to the aviation industry.

Craig McDonald: Group Technical Director

Craig is the co-founder of Cloud Global and offers a wealth of knowledge with over 18 years experience in the aviation industry. Craig graduated in aeronautical engineering and began his career in aircraft maintenance as an engineer for companies such as Flybe, Virgin Atlantic, SR Technics, Flyglobespan and Pratt & Whitney before taking to the skies and becoming a commercial airline pilot. Craig now manages and is responsible for the groups technical services and business development in all areas including aircraft sales, acquisitions, leasing, training and recruitment. Craig predicts further growth within the subsidiary companies over next 12 months.
