Feel the thrill of piloting a light aircraft then sit back and observe as somebody else takes the controls in this Double Landing Flying Lesson.

You’ll have the chance to experience two kinds of flying lesson in this unique adventure that allows you to act as pilot on one leg of the journey and as an observer on the second leg. The two flying sectors will be approximately 30 minutes each with a total flight time of 60 minutes.

You’ll land and take off twice from Perth Airport taking it in turns with one other person to pilot the plane, and any time spent behind the controls will count towards a Private Pilot’s licence.

After a safety briefing and familiarisation of the aircraft, you and your instructor will taxi to the runway and take off. Perth Airport is the busiest general aviation (light aircraft) airport in Scotland and you will experience the buzz around you. You’ll be able to hear Air Traffic Control and speak with your instructor through the aircraft’s radio system.

Once in the air, you’ll get amazing panoramic views of the area including local towns, railways, the motorway and landscape. During your flight, you’ll have the opportunity to see landmarks such as Scone Palace, the River Tay, and the city of Perth. The aircraft’s panoramic windows allow you to view right around the world beneath you.

You will be able to take the controls of the aircraft if you want to, putting it though manoeuvres, all under the safe supervision of the instructor. Once you have completed both flight legs, you will be presented with a certificate confirming completion – the perfect memento for an extraordinary experience.
